Tuesday Talk – Why We Lived & Went Nowhere for a Year

On Tuesday’s we’d like to answer questions sent to us from viewer’s like you and share some of the details of our Airstream life.

This week we’re talking about why we’ve lived in our Airstream for a whole year without really going anywhere. There are a number of reasons including our retirement plans, budget concerns, and most importantly wanting to make sure we liked living in the Airstream before hitting the road. We also used the time to figure out what renovations we wanted to do so we didn’t have to rush into them or attempt them while traveling. Overall we wouldn’t do anything differently and we’re just about ready to hit the road!

That makes a lot of sense. 🙂

I love hearing how different people design their perfect lives — the planning insight in particular. We’ve not really thought about airstream living at all (and probably won’t), but we will likely be doing a lot more travel. It makes a lot of sense to “try out” retirement plans before committing to anything long term!

Thanks, Felicity! I agree. Trying out any new lifestyle plan is a good idea before committing! Plus then you know you’re estimates of the budget are close too.
