How To Fit an Entire Wardrobe in an RV/Airstream

Welcome to our How-To Series. In this video series, we will explain the many how-tos of Airstream Living. From full-time RVing, to travel, to living in a tiny space we will share what we have learned from living this lifestyle. We encourage you to comment below with your own advice on this topic, as well as any other How-Tos you would like to see.

This week’s topic is How To Fit an Entire Wardrobe in an RV/Airstream. We live full-time all year in our Airstream and travel around the country encountering freezing temperatures and temperatures as high as 100. This means we need our entire wardrobe with us. In this video, I show how many clothes I own in my tiny home and how I manage to store them all so I have easy access when needed. The major tip is to stack clothing storage containers so you can easily get to the things at the bottom without disturbing the top. In other words, use your vertical space as much as possible since there tends to be more of that.

This week’s topic is How To Get A Good Nights Sleep in an RV No Matter Where You Are. We’ve been living and sleeping in our Airstream for over a year now and we have some tips on how to ensure the best night’s sleep whether at a campground, boondocking in the woods, or beside a semi in a Walmart parking lot. Make sure to set and follow a relaxing routine in your RV (similar to what you would do in a house). Ensure your bed is comfortable and your sheets and comforter appropriate for the season. Keep the RV at the right temperature and level of darkness for sweet dreams and think about using a noise generator every night to maintain consistency and block out any new noises.

Tuesday Talk – What Worked While Stationary That Doesn’t On The Road

This week we’re answering a question left by a viewer. “What worked for you while stationary in the Airstream but doesn’t work so well now that you are on the road?” We talk about a few things that we’ve had to adjust now that we’ve been on the road for a couple of months. It’s surprising but there wasn’t much on this list so for us the stationary Airstream life wasn’t that much different from the on-road life (well except for all the fun we’re now having!).

On Tuesday’s we’d like to answer questions sent to us from viewer’s like you and share some of the details of our Airstream life. If you have a question for us please let us know in the comments below or at our website astreaminlife.com

Tuesday Talk – Working from an Airstream or RV

On Tuesday’s we’d like to answer questions sent to us from viewer’s like you and share some of the details of our Airstream life.

This week we’re talking about what it’s like to work full time from our Airstream. Steve did it for many months before calling it quits from his job and he shares his experiences. The main takeaway is that it is totally do-able and in fact, we encourage moving into your RV before quitting. It gave us stability to figure out what we really wanted while we were still stationary and making money.

Do you work from the road in your RV? Any advice for someone considering it?
