Tuesday Talk – Our 2017 Travel Plans & Long Term Travel Goals
On Tuesday’s we’d like to answer questions sent to us from viewer’s like you and share some of the details of our Airstream life.
This week we’re answering a couple of questions we’ve gotten a number of times. First what are our 2017 travel plans. Where are we going this year and why? Are we heading to your neck of the US? We’d love to meetup! Let us know!
We’re also talking about our travel goals. While setting goals like seeing all the national parks or hitting all 49 states are awesome, they are not what we’re setting out to do. Have any suggestions of gorgeous places or favorite foodie or craft festivals for us? We’d love to hear about them!

A word of advice from a native Oregonian, living in Southern Oregon. Choose your seasons carefully while you’re here. The Southern Oregon area around Medford gets summer time daytime temps of over 100 for about 6 weeks during the summer. That’s only in the Rogue Valley however, as soon as you get up into the mountains which surround it, the temps will cool. The metro area and Willamette Valley have rain for about 9 months of the year normally. Eastern Oregon is high desert country and can have snow in just about any month except August. The Oregon coastline is some of the most rugged in the country for about the northern 2/3rds. Traveling down Hwy101 can take days, but it is truly beautiful and there’s lots to see and do. This state has some of the most scenic places for photographers to be found in the continental states. Not that I’m prejudiced!
Thanks for the awesome advice Nikki. We’ve been doing some research and have learned some of what you have told us. It’s amazing how diverse Oregon is in landscape, temperatures. scenery etc. We cannot wait to be there this summer. I don’t know if we’ll hit all the regions you discussed but we already have a few weeks on the coast planned. Thanks again!
