In today’s video, we leave the Columbia River Gorge and head into East Oregon before making it to Idaho. Our last stop in Oregon is a one night stay at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton. We didn’t want to boondock because the temperatures were in the high 90s so a full hook-up site was appreciated. We leave Oregon for this trip and head to Bruneau Dunes State Park in Idaho where it is hot hot hot! Luckily we still have electric! We’re looking forward to climbing those dunes.
In today’s video, we take two hikes to see 4 more waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. Another great day with 4 waterfalls rounding out our total count of 12 waterfalls in 3 days. Amazing! We then head to Hood River to get groceries and check out Full Sail Brewery.
In today’s video, we have our first big day of waterfall hiking in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. We start off BIG with Multnomah Falls and then continue hiking to see Wiesendanger Falls & Ecola Falls. All three were very different but beautiful! We also take a quick trip down to Bridal Veil Falls for an easy hike to another gorgeous waterfall. Four Waterfalls in one day..not bad!
In today’s video, we go berry picking at Baggenstos Farm. It’s our first-time berry picking and we enjoyed it! Blueberries and Marionberries galore. The Marionberries were amazing! We go on a bike ride along the Columbia River and then explain our camping heat-wave dilemma before we head out of the Portland area. Finally, Steve gives a quick how-to of how he sets up at a new campsite before we go for a quick hike to Elowah Falls (our first fall of many to come!).
In today’s video, we check out a farmers market in the town of Yachats Oregon. Fresh flowers and jam! Love it!. Next, we climb down a roped trail to the beach right outside our rental house and explore the beach. The saga of our hitch receiver continues…. Finally, we take a day trip to Newport Oregon for lunch, and some foggy sightseeing.
In today’s video, we take McKenzie Pass Highway through a bunch of lava rock to go and see some waterfall not far from the Sisters. The first waterfall hike was Proxy Falls, which is our absolute favorite falls hike we’ve ever seen. The Lower Falls was AMAZING! We highly recommend it! We then stop and see Sahalie Falls which was roaring and took the quick walk down to Koosah Falls as well. We love waterfalls! Lastly, we share our last night in Bend before we head West towards the Coast.
In today’s video, we take a day trip to Terrebonne Oregon. First stop is the hike to Steelhead Falls which was lovely and very secluded. Steve made some great waterfall photography and shares some tips on how to photograph waterfalls. The next stop is Smith Rock State Park where we hike Misery Ridge and walk along the River Trail. The rock formations were awesome!
We finally get back into the Airstream after the solar install and we hit the road for the trip back from Oregon to Tucson. Check out the adventures along the way and what we decided on for our solar system. Next week’s video will be a solar show and tell of all our components and where they were installed.
We had an amazing experience with AM Solar. If you are thinking of getting solar installed or looking to buy a solar package to install yourself we highly recommend them.
