This week’s topic is How To Store Shoes in an Airstream/RV & How Many to Bring. Living full-time in our Airstream, we have all our shoes to try and fit and easily access in our 200 sqft. The first step in having the perfect shoe solution is to really look at the shoes you have or are bringing in the RV. We have limited our shoes down to 5 pairs each which seem to be enough for almost every occasion. Having to store 10 pairs of shoes is a lot easier than 20. Next, we created shoe storage near the door of the RV. We think this is an essential step so that the shoes you wear every day are easy to take on and off by the door. We recommend something like our screen door solution if you don’t already have show storage there. Next, take advantage of your vertical space. We have a shoe rack hanging on the back wall of our closet where we store most of the rest of our shoes but you could do something similar on any untaken vertical space. Finally, check out all the nooks and crannies of your RV. We store our hiking boots in little cubbies under the bed which otherwise would be empty.
