Every Saturday I would like to share with you a video I find inspirational. There are so many amazing, enriching resources out there. Hopefully these videos will bring you joy and inspiration!
Claudia from twocuphouse.com shared in the comments of last week’s Saturday Share that one of her favorite TedTalks is by Ernesto Sirolli. So of course I had to take a look. Now I have to admit the premise of this video wouldn’t be something that normally interested me (advice for aid workers about entrepreneurship) but I learned a lot from this video. Two main points stood out to me as universal.
- If you want to help someone you need to shut up and listen. You need to go into the relationship with no preconceived ideas of how to help or fix it. You need to help someone with their dream, not try to tell them yours.
- Passion is the most important thing. Without passion it is very unlikely something will succeed. With passion and help from others you will succeed, since no one can succeed alone.
I hope you enjoy Ernesto’s talk. He is certainly an engaging and passionate speaker!
