On this Airstream Life vLog, we pack up and leave our hookups at Sunland Racetrack & Casino. While packing up Courtney shares some of her best tips for packing the Airstream which include ways to make sure you remember everything. You don’t want to get distracted and forget an important part of packing up…. it makes for a bad time when you open up the trailer again at your next destination!
We have to maneuver a bit to dump at the dump station at the casino but we make it work and then hit the road to Chosa Campground near Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. It’s not really a campground but a big dirt lot in place for free camping on BLM land. We join a few other campers and make sure to park the Airstream into the wind to both make for a better few days (since we have a high wind advisory) and also get the best angle for our solar panels.
