Tuesday Talk: Drinking Water When Full Time RVing

Video Description

This week we are answering a question from a viewer about drinking water while full-time RVing. They ask whether we drink from our fresh water tank, how we filter our water, and if we sanitize our tank.

Yes, we do drink from our fresh water tank. We are not picky about our water, as long as it is not going to make us sick. We use the typical RV filter on the hose when we fill up the tank and then we are fine drinking from it. We do occasionally sanitize it using the correct amount of bleach but only about once a year. If we ever filled up with bad water, obviously we would make sure to sanitize the system before drinking from it again.

We keep 4-gallon jugs of water in the Airstream which we use on moving days or when we are boondocking since they are easier to fill. We refill them from our tap when we are hooked to water again.

What about you? Are you more picky about your water? Do you drink from your fresh water tank?
