On this Airstream Life vLog, we pack up and leave one Great Lake for another. Heading from Lake Ontario down the shores of Lake Erie to Westfield NY. But first, we stop on the way to get some ice cream from Tim Hortons after a bunch of locals recommended Steve needed to go. How did we know we could stop with the Airstream? Satellite view on Google Maps. We could see there was a large parking lot at the hotel across the field and we knew we could park there and walk over. Yum!
We also used Google Maps to avoid paying lots of money in tolls on this drive. We avoid tolls when at all possible as we would rather spend on our money on ice cream and are okay spending a little more time driving. So we set Google Maps to avoid toll roads and then Courtney checked out the route to make sure all the roads were safe for the Airstream. We finally make it to the KOA which actually gives you nice large patios (in comparison to most private campgrounds) and amazingly fast Verizon speeds! The drawbacks are it is on Rte 90 (which is noisy) and while your patio is large the view from the other side of the rig leaves much to be desired. That’s okay! It’s only half full over Memorial Day Weekend and it will work!
