This week’s topic is How To Keep Plants Alive When Traveling Full-time in an RV/Airstream.The Airstream is our home and part of making feel like one, for us, is having living plants. We struggled with maintaining plants in our moving house but after the last 6 months have come up with some tips and tricks that have worked well for us. First, make sure to pick hardy plants, they’re going to have to go through a lot of change so a delicate plant will probably not do well. Also keep in mind that in every new spot the plants might need different things, different lighting and different watering based on humidity. Lastly, you need to make sure the plants are nicely secured on moving days so we show you how we do it and talk about some other ideas.
I choose herbs. My favorite is parsley. It’s a mid-size, bushy plant, and grows well with regular harvesting for use in our cooking. If some shoots break off during travel… just wash and use!
We’re thinking about trying some herbs. We love parsley and cilantro yum!
