The Three Capes Scenic Drive Along the Oregon Coast
In today’s video, we take the Three Capes Scenic Loop Drive from Tillamook down to Pacific City Oregon. Unfortunately, the road was closed so we had to go slightly out of order but we still got to see the three capes. The first cape is Cape Meares and the lighthouse by the same name. Make sure to check out the Octopus Tree while there! Next cape is Cape Lookout which we decided to drive on by. Finally, we get down to Pacific City and Cape Kiwanda which rounds out our 3 capes. The beach at Cape Kiwanda was awesome between the fishing boats screaming into shore, the giant sand dune and the tide pools. We had a blast! Plus we got to eat some delicious tacos. Mmmmm.

Another difference between Oregon beaches and east coast beaches is that Oregon shoreline is all public. There are no privately owned beaches in the state.
Very true! Same as Hawaii. It means even if a high-end resort is on the beach as long as you can walk to that beach you can be there. It’s so nice you can walk for miles!
