The Easy Way to Observation Point & Camping on Lake Powell
In today’s video, we hike the East Mesa Trail to Observation Point in Zion National Park. Observation Point looks out over Angels Landing along with the rest of Zion Valley. Most people hike the 2100+ ft up from the Weeping Rock shuttle stop over 3 miles and then hike all the way back down. That’s a LONG and HARD 8+ mile hike. We hiked East Mesa there and the normal descent back which made for a 7+ mile hike with 2100+ ft of descent. Still tough on our feet but much better than going up & down. For a much easier hike but with the same view, we recommend the East Mesa Trail there and back.
We then head up to a new camp spot at Lone Rock Beach on Lake Powell. Amazing! We can’t wait to show you more next video!
