Heading to the Salt Flats + Emergency & Repairs
In today’s video, it’s moving day again and this time we were headed to some BLM land right outside the Bonneville Salt Flats on the Utah/Nevada border. Or at least that was the plan. Instead, we ended up on the side of i80 for at least and hour and settled into the Wendover KOA for the foreseeable future. BUT at least we are all safe and sound. I lived in Winnemucca for a few years. Winnemucca means One Moccasin in the Piute Indian language. Check out the Martin Hotel for a Basque dining experience.
We were only in Winnemucca for a night because we wanted to get to the Tahoe region pretty quickly but I have a feeling we will be back. It seems a great stopping point for that trek along 80. Thanks for the dining tip. We’ll keep it in mind for next time!
