How To Find Water & Dump Stations When Boondocking in an RV/Airstream

This week’s topic is How To Find Water & Dump Stations When Boondocking in an RV/Airstream. When camping out in the wilderness without hookups how do you find a place to find or dump stations? You can find water in a number of ways. Look for water at National Parks and State Parks that you are visiting anyway. You can also find water at some trail heads and picnic areas in National Forests. If you are in the mountains, some towns have free water sources if they are headwaters of rivers. You can always pay for water at a Glacier Water Dispenser at a grocery store. Some dump stations will also have potable water.

To find dump stations we use a few applications. We use AllStays on our phones. They have a specific symbol for dump stations. We also use Campendium, which also has a specific symbol for dump stations. Lastly, Sanidumps seems to be a great website for finding dump stations as well.
