Video Description
This week we are answering a question from a viewer about whether we have a schedule for performing Airstream maintenance or if we just wait until things need to be done.
If you have watched us for a while you probably can guess the answer to this one. While we would love to be one of those people who stay on top of maintenance, truthfully we tend to only have a schedule for the really important safety features. Everything else we take care of when it breaks or sometimes long after that (such as our step).
It is hard to repair and keep up with some things while on the road. We have not been able to wash the Airstream at a single campground we have stayed at in the past 3 months. We don’t carry around a full toolset with us and most campgrounds will only let you make the most basic of repairs.
We do keep up on our hitch maintenance though. We make sure to grease the zerks every couple of months and inspect everything, every time we move. Safety first!
