On this Airstream Life vLog, we take advantage of our dry camping location and head into Sleeping Bear Dunes to see the sights. We decide to do the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive since we only have one day in the area and we want to see as much as we can. So we start off bright and early even though it’s still a bit drizzly.

We take you to all 12 stops on the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. Our favorites (along with most people’s) are stops 9 & 10 which is the Lake Michigan Overlook and the Sleeping Bear Dunes Overlook. WOW! We have hiked a bunch of different dunes in Idaho and Colorado but this dune is definitely the steepest. There is no way we would hike down it (and then back up). People were crawling up on their hands and knees. Apparently, a number of people get stuck every year and there are fees to be rescued. Crazy!

We really loved the drive and were very surprised to find something like this in Michigan. It reminded us of the ocean, not a lake!
