Video Description
This week in our RV Financials series we continue talking about budgeting for full-time RVing in our effort to answer how much does full-time RVing cost. We focus this week on budgeting for health costs, which can be a doozy! However, health costs while full-time RVing aren’t really that different from health costs while stationary.
This is one category where everyone’s numbers are going to look very different depending on your health situation and health insurance/health share. We talk you through what you need to consider for budgeting and walk you through our numbers.
We are enrolled in Liberty Healthshare and did a video about it here:
We pay $299 a month for both of our Heathshare costs. We budget an additional $51 a month for doctors visits, medication etc. Our Healthshare program has an annual $1000 non-shared amount (or out of pocket cost). If we do need medical care that exceeds our normal expenses we pull that money out of our emergency fund. That’s what it’s there for!
We are budgeting $350 a month for health costs when we hit the road again this year and travel full-time in our Airstream. What about you? How much do you budget for health costs?
