On this Airstream Life vLog, we head into New Orleans…or attempt to. On the way there we get an error message in the truck about the Exhaust system needing service and that our speed will be limited to 65mph in 99 miles. After looking it up it turns out after that 99 miles our speed will be limited to 45, and then even further down until we can only go 5mph. Yikes!

So we turn around and head back to Covington to talk to a GMC dealer and figure out what we are going to do. It turns out, after many phone calls, that it’s going to take about a week to get the parts we need to resolve the issue. So we’re staying!

Luckily Courtney is able to find a camp spot, directly across from the current one that is open for the next 8 days. So we get a rental car and move spots. Now we gotta make the most of being in Lousiana for longer than anticipated so we make a trip in the rental to Cafe Du Monde for the famous chicory coffee and beignets. Yum! Steve is a very happy man!

We’re super bummed we had to cancel out time and our meetups in Tennessee and Huntsville. We will definitely have to visit those cities the next time we are in the area. For now, we are staying flexible, staying positive, and are focused on enjoying our extra time here while we wait to get back on the road.
