Video Description
On this Airstream Life vLog, we leave Louisiana (yay!) and head into Mississippi for the first time. We only have one night in the state in between two long travel days so we decide to stay at an Alpaca Farm that is part of the Harvest Host program.
As you guys know we have been trying to have all our one-night overnights be at Harvest Hosts. Why? A number of reasons. First, they are fun! It’s always an adventure. We meet awesome people and always learn new things. Why stay at a boring campground when we can have an adventure enroute?
Secondly, it’s free! Or at least we have already paid for the membership. We do always pay for something at the host location which is expected with the Harvest Host program but we look at it as a free night stay and some fun souvenirs!
Anyway, this was a new Harvest Host experience for us. We got to feed alpacas, llamas, and donkeys! We saw so many dogs, cats, chickens, guinea hens and more. Our neighbors for the night were so cool and actually really quiet (that was one concern we had with being on a farm).
The gift shop was full of amazing fiber, yarn, knitted and crocheted goods, mittens, hats, stuffed animals, soaps, herbs, essential oils and more!
The only downfall was the Verizon signal was pretty slow…but for one night it was totally worth it. So if you are in the area we highly recommend stopping in and if you are a Harvest Host member consider spending a night.
In the next video, we have one more travel day before reaching the RVE Summit but things don’t go as planned…so stay tuned!
