Video Description
On this Airstream Life vLog, we spend a couple of days in Delaware. First, we enjoy our time at Lums Pond State Park by taking a small hike around the Pond. There were a bunch of awesome trails to choose from and gorgeous views!
The next day (after a rainy evening) we decide to go and explore New Castle Delaware. First stop is a weekly indoor farmers market that is held Friday-Sunday. Wow! So many things to see! There were fresh fruits and veggies, fish, meats, Pennsylvania Dutch pastries, chocolates, and lots of stores to buy different goods. Steve even got a souvenier…a belt fitted perfectly for him made of real leather with eagles on it! Very cool.
Next stop was lunch at El Pique for tacos. We are incredibly picky about our tacos but when we see reviews for a place like El Pique we have to check them out. OMG. This is one of the top 3 tacos places we’ve been (coming from 2 Arizonians that’s high praise). We LOVED their selection of meats. Their lamb consume was the best we have ever had and their spicy pork tacos were incredibly spicy! If you are in New Castle and want authentic Mexican food you have to go here. Plus they were so nice!
After full bellies, we walked around historic New Castle for a while. Walking here is like stepping back in time. The brick buildings, cobblestone streets, water views, and historical plaques make walking the town a fun adventure to do in an afternoon.
Last but not least we couldn’t leave the area without trying Stewarts Brewing. Yum!
That’s it for Delaware. We leave for New Jersey and Philadelphia in the next video, so stay tuned!
