On this Airstream Life vLog, we voluntarily head to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan, which if you know our travel style…you know is not a normal activity for us. We freely admit that we are not museum people. In general, we would prefer seeing natural history out in nature rather than history displayed in a museum. That being said we have seen some cool museums this year mostly due to the Harvest Host program.
We decided to pay the hefty $24 a person plus parking to go to the Henry Ford because so many of you told us we should. Even non-museum people told us we should.
You were right! This was an amazing museum jampacked full of so much history it amazed us. It not only focused on the Ford legacy, the Model T, the factory line, etc. It had everything from the Rosa Park’s bus, to the chair Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in, to JFK’s limo. Plus an exhibit on math, farm equipment, cars (of course), trains, electricity and so much more. They even had a special Star Trek exhibit going on while we were there which made Courtney super excited.
We highly recommend the Henry Ford for anyone in the Detriot or Ann Arbor area. It is one of the best museums we have ever been to.
