A Walking Tour of Niagara Falls Canada: Niagara Falls from All Angles

Video Description

On this Airstream Life vLog, we finally head over into Canada to truly experience Niagara Falls. But first, we do a quick hike with some new Airstreaming friends from Buffalo at Devils Hole State Park. We had an awesome time talking Airstreams and travel! Thanks, @streambig & @rivetednomads for an awesome hike (check them out on Instagram).

We also went and saw the Victoria Day fireworks and Niagara Falls all lit up from the US side the night before. It was quite brisk but totally worth standing out in the cold. It’s awesome to see the falls all lit up with different colors at night and the quick fireworks show was gorgeous!

Now for our day in Canada, we decided to walk (instead of driving over the border). We parked at the State Park 30 seconds from the pedestrian gate on Rainbow bridge. The walk over the bridge was beautiful! Even that view was amazing! Then we continued walking on the Canadian side down the sidewalks on the river amongst the tulips. Gorgeous! You can see the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls easily as you walk.

Our first stop was Journey Behind the Falls. This experience has you don ponchos and head behind the falls. There isn’t a lot to see behind them besides a lot of water but the feeling of being behind the falls is incredible. You can feel the percussive force of the falls inside you. You also get to go down to an observation tower where you get sprayed by the mist. SO fun!

Our next experience was Hornblower Cruise Lines. This is similar to Maid of the Mist except departs from the Canadian side (Maid of the Mist hadn’t opened yet for the season). We again donned ponchos for our boat trip right up to all the falls. Wow! Seriously impressive to see the falls from ground level and this close. You get very wet! Protect that camera gear!

Our last stop is Skylon tower to get a high up view for the whole area. We decided to have lunch at the Buffet with a gorgeous view and then head up to the Observation Deck. Amazing.

Niagara Falls at all angles and all before 1pm and therefore before all the crowds. We highly suggest trying to do these tours/experiences on weekdays and as early in the day as possible. We were told they really fill up (even the line to cross the border gets larger as the day goes on). We never had to wait more than a minute or two for everything and we’re back in the US easily in time for Happy Hour.

We hope you enjoyed Niagara Falls from all angles. Stay tuned for moving down to a different Great Lake in the next video.
