Video Description
On this Airstream Life vLog, we pack it up and leave Traverse City State Park to head to a Harvest Host on the shores of Lake Michigan. We haven’t stayed at a Harvest Host in over a month and we are super excited to go to one again.
We head to the Rudbeckia Winery & Burnt Marshmallow Brewing in Petoskey Michigan. Unfortunately, we were their last Harvest Host stay. They had decided earlier in the week they no longer wanted to be part of the program so they honored our reservation (which we had already made) but are not taking any others.
Why? Because a minority of people in the program either did not understand what Harvest Hosts was about or did not follow the rules. Please, please, please if you are part of the program follow the rules, treat the hosts with respect, and we will all be able to enjoy places like this in the future.
Meanwhile, this place is awesome and even though they are no longer Harvest Hosts we still encourage you to visit if you are in the area. They have wine, beer, and cider that are all absolutely amazing. They also had a really cool food menu with lots of local Michigan products. The outside area is fun with sweeping views, fun games and even friendly pigs who come by to say hi. Overall an awesome place to hang out!
Our evening spent on their property was also amazing. Even though it was warm and humid we spent a relaxing quiet evening and enjoyed some coffee and tea rocking outside enjoying the view before heading out to a full hookup campground for STeve’s birthday.
Stay tuned for that!
