This week we are answering a question from a viewer about what happens if there is a major accident (tornado, car accident, fire) and the Airstream is destroyed? What would we do?
This is a very interesting question and one that was revealing to consider for us. Steve’s answer was immediate. As long as we are safe, and the girls (our dogs) are safe, then he’s fine. Why? Because although we love our Airstream it is just a thing. It’s all just stuff. Stuff can be replaced. Of course, that does take money which is why we pay for full-time RVing insurance and have large emergency funds but it’s still just stuff. Steve’s attitude is a good one and one that is particularly useful to have to help realize what in life is truly important.
Courtney would be more upset if the Airstream was totaled. She is a little more emotionally attached to our silver home. But again as long as our family was safe and unhurt everything would be okay. We would need to quickly find a place to stay with the dogs. Possibly find a rental vehicle (if the truck was also damaged). Figure out where to go and what to do from there. So there would be a lot of stress and running and around planning but it would all be okay.
Always a good thing to remember.
What do you think? How would you answer this question?
