Video Description
On this Airstream Life vLog, we leave Alabama to start heading North in what will be 3 travel days in a row. We quickly pass thru Georgia and then into Tennessee before we stop for the night at Tennessee Valley Winery as part of the Harvest Host program. What an amazing place to spend the night!
We get settled in after a bit of a steep climb up to the winery. They even offered us 20amp power for free which is useful given how cloudy it was that day. Plus can you beat that view? Wow! It’s the best view we’ve had from a Harvest Host so far.
Once we’ve set up we head over to the tasting room in the rain to taste some delicious wine. They mostly specialize in sweet wines here but they did have some dry wines as well. We got to taste apple wine and muscadine wine. We also learned that muscadine grapes are the healthiest fruit out there. See we are being healthy 😉 Meanwhile, check out that gift shop! So many awesome items, not to mention then local cheese and pickles. Yum! Even if you don’t drink wine this could be a Harvest Host stop for you.
After wine tasting, we head back to the Airstream (the 30-second walk) and make up a cheese plate for dinner. This is one of our favorite Harvest Host dinners since it works well with the wine we buy and it requires almost no dishes or clean up! That’s great when dry camping.
We think we are headed to bed but the rain lets up and it’s so gorgeous outside that we have to go out and enjoy it. Penny loves running around in the field in front of the Airstream.
We spend a quiet night where we get a great nights sleep before we pack up and hit the road again. We’ll be staying at another Harvest Host Winery on the way to Virginia in our next video so stay tuned.
