Video Description
In today’s video, we are showing you around our updated 2005 30′ Airstream Classic which we live in full-time while we RV around the US. We have done some minor renovations or DIY projects to really update the Airstream and make it our own.
We have changed out the curtains, valances and other fabrics for a more southwestern flair. We also renovated the kitchen, removing the Airstream’s dinette and installing a full-size desk instead. This is how Steve can work from home inside the Airstream while full-time RVing. Another major renovation was removing the carpet and linoleum and installing vinyl plank flooring. It has made a huge difference in the feel of the Airstream and makes it so much easier to clean.
The major renovations in the bathroom area include installing a catalytic heater and a composting toilet for boondocking. We DIYed our Natures Head Composting Toilet to divert the liquids into the black tank but keep the solids as compost. No more black tank sewage smell for us! Lastly, we show you the bedroom where we’ve done some minor fabric and cosmetic updates. We hope you enjoyed the tour of our Airstream home.
